Description: The project, developed at PERCRO Laboratory of Scuola Superiore S.Anna, Pisa, consisted in the creation of a prototype of web editor for the creation of Information Landscapes. Information Landscapes are peculiar Virtual Reality applications mainly made up of texts and images arranged in a 3D space. The project was developed starting from the visualization software developed by PERCRO Lab using XVR.
Web editor features:
- Creation, removal and modification of elements
- Creation and removal of links between different elements
- transformations of the elements (translation, scaling, rotation)
- saving of IL in web server, loading of IL stored on the web server
In addition, a tool for textual research has been developed as a well as a map to facilitate the 3D navigation.
The web editor consists of a XVR plugin that communicate with a web interface developed using web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript).
